East Midlands International airport is well equipped with extensive facilites to cater for all your needs.
You can find an outline of some of them below: Trained first-aid assistantsAt East midlands airport trained first-aiders are available 24 hours a day. Requests for first aid should be made to the Information Desk.Dedicated wide car parking spacesThere are some dedicated wide car-parking spaces in the short-stay car park within 50 metres of the main entrance, for use by disabled badge holders on long or short stay journeys.Pick-up AreaA pick-up area is provided on the terminal front for the collection of disabled passengers. Please note that vehicles must not be left unattended in this area. Anyone wishing to park and wait for passengers should park in the short stay car park as usual.Disabled toilet facilitiesAt East Midlands Airport you will find disabled toilet facilities, lowered telephones and wheelchairs throughout the terminal building.Lifts and AmbuliftsThere is a lift to provide access to the first floor food hall. The airport also provides electronically activated and controlled doorways as well as Ambulift or carrychair for boarding aircrafts. (Please note: Passengers who require assistance with boarding should notify their travel agent or airline at the time of booking.)Wheelchair usersWheelchair accessible taxis are available from Link Cars taxi firm. Wheelchairs are also available for use by passengers prior to boarding.Hard of hearing loopsHard of hearing loops are provided throughout the terminal.EntertainmentA video games zone is situated in the Terminal. The Trent Cafe features an indoor viewing balcony giving excellent views of the aircraft parking area and runway.CateringThe Trent Café on the first floor of the terminal building has 4 high chairs available and offers a bottle warming service. Crayons and colouring pads are provided free of charge and the café offers a range of children's meals and kiddies party packs.The Burger King outlet offers children's extra value meals as well as promotional toys such as Pokemon and Scooby Doo. High Chairs are available in the Local Hero Pub as well as soft drinks and snacks. The pub has a 'child friendly' area which has a TV and is no smoking. The Meden Café in the International Departure Lounge offers high chairs, bottle warming facilities and kiddies lunch packs. The Bar des Voyageurs has high chairs available and a range of soft drinks and snacks. ShopsBoots the Chemist offers a range of products such as nappies, baby food, children's swimwear as well as lots of other goods.Dominoes Toys sells a large selection of games, toys and crafts suitable for children of all ages. Rascal Rabbit Kids ClubEast Midlands Airport offers children up to the age of 12 free membership to the Rascal Rabbit Kids Club. Members of the Club receive a birthday card and a quarterly newsletter. |
